We need your help!
Words cannot describe the madness that was felt last Friday thanks to SlickWillyDee and his sidekick JaneyTheWench who dished out some throatwobblingly heavy Dubstep.
So much so that I’m just going to lob the 3 hour session link at you and let you decide for yourselves.
Do not let the house-esque intro fool you..
Track listing to be added soon.

For the third and final Funk Sessions we bring you the funky technician, deck wizard and right hand man to MR Krafty Kuts, A-SKILLZ to Carry On. After hearing his amazing set at Glade we had to book this fantastic DJ. His mixing and scratching of all things phat, funky, dirty and chunky makes A-SKILLZ one of the finest DJs around today
His incredible deck talents involve fusing funk, hip-hop and breaks with his unique style of scratching and mixing, whilst his reputation as a true party rocker has won him prime-time slots across the UK at FabricLive, Spectrum, Chew The Fat, Supercharged, The Boutique and Sugarbeat as well as gigs around the world at major events, festivals and music industry parties such as The Hit Factory (New York), WMC (Miami) and Field Day (Sydney). Ladies and gentlemen…. this is A.Skillz.
Joining A.Skillz for this festive funk session is Finger Lickin artist/dj and pro snowboarder – Scott Nixon
Nixon’s been mixing since before he first stood on a snowboard over 20 years ago. Being a pro-rider on the European snowboard scene for over 15 years opened up a huge freesport audience to his mixing talents and he’s been a regular at massive surf & snowboard events for years.
Scott is now billed as the UK’s only pro-DJ/music producer and professional snowboarder.
With his collaboration with Shimon continuing and Nixon set to release a string of his own tunes, Nixon is set to shake up the scene with his special blend.
This very special final festive Carry On will cater for all types of musical tastes….from hip-hop, funk and soul to breaks, electro and techno, through to dubstep and d’n'b!!

Continuing with their Funk Sessions, Carry On are very pleased to have the Drumattic Twins return to Manchester after playing a brilliant set at the Tangled 15th Birthday last year.
The one-time old skool ravers aka Shades Of Rhythm have now released two albums on the Finger Lickin label, Drumattical and Hammer & Tongues and their most recent single – Deep Throat has been a huge summer club anthem.
Their unique expolsive funky sets, combining decks & fx make them stand out amongst the rest.
The DTs are joined on this event by breakbeat, electro, fidget wonderkid Peo De Pitte, whose recent remixes have gained him massive support right across board, from Herve, Fake Blood, Plump Djs, stanton Warriors, Meat Katie & Kissy Sell Out. This Swedish born producer/DJ is certainly one to check out!

We’ve finally finished processing the monumental amount of audio recorded at the Carry On – NAPT night.
Unfortunately we are unable to offer the NAPT mix as a podcast or download, however we do have the two mixes from resident DJ’s, Steve Thorpe and Resistance.
The mixes are fantastic and provide an epic summary of the general atmosphere that night.
Download part 1 of the mix now, part two to follow shortly:

Before their mind-blowing 2 hour set, NAPT generously allowed us to interview them.
Liz McMullan from CarryOn hosted the interview and covered areas such as the origins of NAPT, past experiences, studio atmosphere, inspirations and what’s in store for us in the future along with much more.
The guys were fantastic and really went into detail what goes on in their corner of the breaks world.
Download below, or subscribe to the podcast for future interviews and live set downloads.
Manchesters best breaks night Carry On have got us down to spin some wonderment in their back room. Nice!
Carry On welcomes the electro-funkers NAPT to begin our series of funk sessions….
In a time of fickle associations and genre bandwagon jumping, the NAPT N-Funk sound has risen to the top, flying the flag for NAPTs kaleidoscopic and unique breakbeat. From house supremo Miles Dyson, cool kids favourite Kissy Sell Out, UK grime ambassador DJ Cameo to breaks
stalwarts the Plump DJs and Rennie Pilgrim the N-Funk sound continues to infiltrate many a DJs
box.
Their futuristic N-Funk sound and unique DJ sets has led to many international shows
including tours of Australia, New Zealand, Europe and Asia and has seen them become residents
for top label Supercharged’s seminal night at Audio Brighton and guest on high profile radio
shows including BBC Radio 1, Kiss FM, Galaxy FM and more.

Over the last 24 hours we have been experiencing some severe outages.
This was caused by our colocation host having difficulty with their Cisco routers.
They have recently stated that the service is back to normal and stable now although we are still showing no bandwidth usage on our switch (even though there is).
Please accept our apologies, we will try to make it up to you in the form of some evil evil sick-ass basslines.
