Chat service

Apologies for the problems you may be experiencing with the chatroom at the moment.

After a catastrophic power supply failure, one of the HD’s also failed (yes, again). The PSU is sorted and a new HD will be installed later today.

We should be back up and live by tonight.

In the meanwhile, the stream will be unaffected but will only play archives.

Regards,
Squeeb

Carry On Live – 1st Birthday

Cor Blimey! Carry On are ONE!!

We have had a great year here at Carry On. We have had fantastic guests from all sides of the breakbeat spectrum come and play for us to a great bunch of people each month.

Would you believe we are now approaching our first birthday! Having stormed into the Manchester clubscene in Sept ‘08 with continually groundbreaking, world class line-up’s as we welcomed guests such as THE GROOVE DIGGERZ, KOMA & BONES, THE ROGUE ELEMENT and RICO TUBBS in our first few months.

We then rocked up to the new year in style with a huge sell out gig at Scubar featuring VANDAL and greeted 2009 with a fantastic and unique night of local talent and live music and pretty much carried on with what we started in 2008: bringing you unique, groundbreaking, world- class artists month after month and always throwing one hell of a party.

Highlights of 2009 have included a fantastic LIVE band set from Alphadrive, a February crunkathon with The BODYSNATCHERS- 30Hz and BAOBINGA and of course the unforgettable PRODIGY AFTERPARTY. Also the amazing sell out evening with MR KRAFTY KUTS and our night of tech- funk madness with ELITE FORCE. No wonder then, with these sorts of accolades, we were asked to represent the Manchester Underground Club scene at The Manchester International Festival in July.

Now as our first birthday beckons there’s no holding back. After what was nothing less than an astounding set from Fiinger Lickin’ Records founder SOUL OF MAN last month (nothing but good vibrations all round!) the time has come to celebrate this landmark first birthday with characteristic flare, fun and good humour…….. and so without further ado, we welcome you to our first birthday party! Come and celebrate in style, no holding back, out and out hedonistic revelry! Like the year just gone, it’s gonna be one hell of a night!! We are gonna party like it’s 1999!!!

So to celebrate our 1st birthday in Carry on style, we are having a fancy dress party. The theme…you guessed it- Carry On Films. Come dressed as a soldier, sailor, nurse, doctor, cowboy, teacher, camper or even a camel!!

Carry On with Elite Force Live on Radio Glitch

Elite Force Live
We continue with our quality guests month in month out, and this time round we are proud to present to you the one and only ELITE FORCE, plus a live appearence from the fantastic – Nursery of Naughtiness.

Simon Shackleton’s Elite Force project began way back in 1996, he soon became a mainstay for Adrift Recordings (formally known as Kingsize Records) before moving on to set up hisown hugely successful U&A imprint.

Often credited for being a lynchpin in the developing the tech-funk genre (an amalgamation of breaks, house, techno and electro) he has released a series of highly successful singles in the past few years, finding broad support from DJs and musicians across the board, including the likes of James Zabiela, Sasha, Crystal Method, Laurent Garnier and Fatboy Slim to name but five.

In 2008 released a semi-retrospective double album’s worth of remixes and re-workings of a 12-year back catalogue, with over 25 mixes coming from such luminaries as Miles Dyson, Rogue Element, Deepgroove, Dylan Rhymes & Calvertron.

Carry On – Official Prodigy Afterparty

Hi Guys,

Many apologies for this one but we were unable to broadcast or record this gig for an archive.

The reason?
Some bastard junky chav bastard fuckfaced piss stinking mothershitting dick faced cocksucker smashed up my car window and nabbed the TomTom, minutes before the gig..

If anyone wants to help me annihilate the entire chav population, that’d be great.
